Where's Laura?

Greetings,

I've been resting, reading, thinking and planting seeds for my next project.

I've been seeking inspiration in long winter walks around Castle Island and in cooking for my friends.

Winter's over. And like the swallows return to Capistrano, I've reappeared as a consultant on some local projects and am looking for a new space to reinvent Caffè Umbra . Nothing's definite but the edges of the picture will slowly clear.

Chef Anthony Susi has taken over my former space. He's a great chef and colleague and I'm proud that he will continue the tradition of good food and warm hospitality at 1395 Washington Street.
